Become more comfortable with your own movement, and with dance in general, by focusing on solo dance for the weekend. Improve your social dancing by practicing your solo dancing! This track is accessible to all levels, and will be limited to 30 students so you can have lots of personal attention.
The Horizons track is a small, focused track for those newer to lindy hop who are ready to spend a whole weekend learning more about this lindy and blues stuff. This track is not for the complete beginner. To be in the Horizons track you should have encountered a swingout before, but it's ok if you haven't done too many of them or if they're a little bumpy.
The track will be limited to 30 students so you'll get lots of personal attention. Since all Horizons track classes will be with Jeff and Sara, you'll get all weekend to work with their particular philosophy of dance.
If you are already comfortable with and dance lindy hop regularly, and want to take classes from Mike & Casey, Bobby & Kate, and Joe DeMers & Mike Legenthal, register for the Standard Track.
Don't be fooled by the name. There will still be three groups taking lindy & blues classes, but we're going to make those groups a bit differently than other workshops do. Instead of focusing on where you already are, with auditions and "levels," we're putting the focus on where you want to go.
As Pirate Swing gets closer, you will receive a survey with questions about what you want to learn and how you want to learn it. Survey answers will be used to place you in a group with like-minded learners, and to influence the content of your classes.
